Eickhorn-Solingen Limited History.
The Eickhorn name has been associated with the edged tools industry for over 140 years. Founded by the Eickhorn family in Solingen, Germany. The 1st company, Eickhorn GmbH to bear the name was established in 1864.
+ This company, and a subsequent Eickhorn company failed when owned and managed by members of the Eickhorn family.
+ The Liquidator, H Liesegang. Wuppertal sold the Eickhorn assets, trademarks, name, patents and intellectual property rights, stock and work in progress to the UK group, LBA Systems Limited.
+ Joerg Eickhorn and a company called Waffentechnik Borkott+Eickhorn with which he is associated, has no
connection whatsoever with Eickhorn-Solingen Limited.
+ LBA Systems Ltd, an established UK company is the 100% shareholder of Eickhorn-Solingen Limited, and as such is the exclusive owner of the original Eickhorn business, trademarks, designs and all intellectual property rights that were previously owned by the bankrupt company.
+ Eickhorn-Solingen Limited retained the existing engineers, workforce and staff, so ensuring the continuity of traditional crafts-manship skills associated with the Eickhorn and Solingen names. + Eickhorn-Solingen Limited has invested capital and expertise in state of the art CNC machinery and the complete modernisation of the company. Today Eickhorn-Solingen Limited is internationally recognised as being one of the foremost ‘state of the art’ design and production industrial units in the Ruhr valley. The previous bankruptcies considerably affected the good name of the company, however under the dynamic new management the company’s reputation has fully recovered. Eickhorn-Solingen Limited is again profitable and continues to consolidate its position in the international market as the world leader in this competitive industrial sector.

professional rescue tools are designed and manufactured in our
Solingen factory to military standards. Outstanding reliability
and proven performance under the most severe operational conditions,
plus an extensive international distributor support network and
ongoing research into product design and development, guarantee
user satisfaction for all Eickhorn-Solingen Limited products.
In addition to Eickhorn-Solingen Limited quality control standards,
SGS independent laboratories conduct ongoing quality control
evaluations on all raw material and finished products. Blade
steels are hardened to a unique Eickhorn-Solingen Limited formula
guaranteeing all Eickhorn-Solingen Ltd products exceed international
test standards in relation to hardness, flexibility under stress,
dynamic twist and high impact resistance.
Plastics
All non-steel parts are designed and manufactured to the highest
military quality control standards. Polyamides are extensively
used in Eickhorn-Solingen Limited plastic parts; these are tested at
SGS laboratories for high tenacity, impact strength, electric
insulation and wear/age resistance qualities

The System 2000 is the basis of the System 2005 Bayonet for all
NATO assault rifles.

The Personal Rescue Tool (PRT) includes 10 models.
Eickhorn-Solingen Limited Quality Control.
Throughout production a comprehensive quality control system
is followed at all stages of the manufacturing process. The
products are batch tested at Eickhorn-Solingen Limited Laboratories
to ensure
that the products meet the specifications of the buyer’s
purchase order. (Independent SGS evaluation of all products
to any recognised
international standard can be nominated and included in any
purchase order or contract by the end user).
Guarantee
Eickhorn-Solingen Limited guarantees to replace any product manufactured
by the company against defective workmanship or material failure.
The product must have been stored/used in accordance with the
company's operating instructions as to the care and
use of the product. The company must be notified of the defect
within 6 months of receipt of consignment by the customer. The
liability of the company limits this guarantee to replacement
of the defective
part or unit only. Normal wear and tear is excluded from this
guarantee.
The company retains the right to determine the nature and cause
of the failure and to appoint, if the end user and the company
cannot or will not agree, an internationally recognised Arbitrator
whose decision shall be final and binding on both parties.
